DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) and Eyrthulose are the two special ingredients in the Norvell Spray Tanning solution that will help you achieve a bronzed beachy look. DHA reacts with the amino acids in the protein on the outer layer of the skin to create the darkening reaction and Eyrthulose enhances the color and extends the life of your spray tan.
All of Norvell Spray Tanning Solutions are Paraben, Gluten, and Sulfate Free.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY AIRBRUSH TANNING SESSION?
Preparing for your session is simple and done in two easy steps:
Exfoliate and shave the day before your tanning session. Any waxing should be done 24-36 hours prior to your session.
The day of your session, refrain from using moisturizers, perfumes, lotions, oils or any deodorants that may create a barrier between your skin and the tanning solution. You may resume the use of these items after your first shower/bath.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR DURING MY AIRBRUSH TANNING SESSION?
For women, to minimize tan lines and protect your undergarments, wearing disposable underwear or an old bathing suit is recommended. For men, boxers, briefs, or shorts are appropriate. The DHA in the formula may permanently stain items worn during the session. Our technicians use the utmost discretion. Please wear dark, loose-fitting attire to your appointment so that the solution has an opportunity to set up and not rub off on your clothes.
HOW SHOULD I TAKE CARE OF MY AIRBRUSH TAN?
After your tanning session is complete, it is recommended to wait approximately 16 hours before showering, bathing, or participating in any activities that may cause you to perspire excessively. (First shower should be a rinse only with no soap). To maintain your tan, use a non-abrasive soap or gel when bathing. Do not use a scrub or exfoliator of any kind for 5-7 days following your tan. After each shower, it is recommended that you use an approved daily moisturizer which contains active ingredients to enhance and prolong the life of you tan. NOTE: over-exposure to highly-chlorinated water, such as swimming pools or hot tubs, for extended periods of time is not recommended and may diminish the length of time your airbrush tanning results will last.
WILL MY AIRBRUSH TAN LOOK ORANGE OR STREAKY?
"Orange & streaky" is a thing of the past. The formula can be customized to coincide with every skin type, tone, and desired result. All tans are applied with a hand-held apparatus used by trained, certified technicians, ensuring you'll receive the depth and color you desire and the most natural-looking, head-turning results for your individual skin type.
HOW LONG WILL MY AIRBRUSH TAN LAST?
The life of your sunless color can last up to 7 days, depending on the type and amount of solution applied, as well as pre- and post-application skincare. If you have any questions, please consult with one of our technicians.
